Information we collect

• Contact details you give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, and the best time to reach you.
• Vehicle details, such as year, make, model, mileage, VIN, condition, photos, and service history, and the details of a vehicle you want to buy.
• Transaction records needed to complete and document a vehicle sale, including agreements and the records California law requires dealers to keep.
• Communications with us, including emails, text messages, and notes from calls.
• Website usage data, such as pages visited and device and browser type, collected through analytics tools and cookies needed for the site to work.

How we use your information

Text messaging (SMS)

If you give TrueAuto your mobile number and check the box agreeing to receive texts, we will text you from (650) 547-3446 about your request, appointment reminders, and updates on your vehicle sale or search. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We only share your mobile number with the service providers that deliver our messages, and only so they can do that.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers that help us run TrueAuto, such as website hosting, database, email, text messaging, calendar scheduling, and analytics providers, who may use it only to provide services to us.
• With the other party to your vehicle transaction, and with inspectors, detailers, or photographers working on your vehicle, only as needed to complete the job. We do not give buyers your home address without your permission.
• With the California DMV, tax authorities, or others when required by law.
• With your consent, or at your direction.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we need it to serve you and to meet legal record-keeping requirements for licensed dealers, then delete or anonymize it.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from us.
• Email alex@trueauto.com to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will honor requests unless the law requires us to keep the record.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes
